We are delighted to invite you to the Workshop on Surface Engineering for Biomedical Applications – SEBA, which will be held at Hotel Samokov in Borovets – Bulgaria’s oldest and most famous mountain resort – https://www.samokov.com/.
Location & Access
Borovets is situated in the magnificent Rila Mountain, only 70 km (about one hour by car) from Sofia and Sofia International Airport. The resort offers an inspiring natural setting with fresh air, pine forests, and impressive mountain views – the perfect balance between focused scientific work and relaxation.
Accommodation for Participants
Special conference rates have been arranged at Hotel Samokov:
- Single room: 52.66 EUR per night
- Bed in double room: 37.84 EUR per night
The price includes:
- Overnight stay with breakfast
- Insurance, tourist tax, and 9% VAT
- Free use of the indoor swimming pool (12.5 x 25 m)

Outside the scientific program, participants will have the opportunity to:
